Obituary of Rosaline Fowler

Rosaline Howard Fowler, 94, of Raleigh, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Rex Healthcare.

Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

A native of Wake County, Rosaline was born November 10, 1915, the daughter of the late Duke and Clara Ellis Howard. She retired from the Governor Morehead School for the Blind in 2002. Rosaline had a passion for people and for gardening but her greatest enjoyment was in caring for her family.

Rosaline is survived by her children, Mary Holloway of Raleigh, James Fowler (Carolyn), Millie Fowler, all of Apex, Clara Underwood and Patricia Fowler, both of Raleigh, Sherry Dixon of Florida; half brothers and sisters, Jackie Leasure, Darrell Howard and Johnny Howard, all of Garner, Shirley Leasure and JoAnn Johnson, both of Bracey, VA, Paul Howard of Fuquay-Varina, Carolyn Brantley of Cary, Betty Arnold of Stafford, VA as well as 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Rosaline was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lennie "Red" Fowler; sister, Ann Jordan and her brothers, James, Wayman, Bobby and Otha Howard.
