Roy Curtis Yokeley, Jr. of Raleigh passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at the age of 88.
Roy was born December 11, 1935 in Winston Salem NC to the late Roy C. Yokeley, Sr. and Evelyn Rice Yokeley. He graduated in 1956 from the NC School for the Deaf in Morganton, NC where he was on the basketball and football teams. He loved the NC State Wolfpack and was an avid fan. He kept two TV sets side by side so he would not miss a game. He had a terrific sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.

He retired from a printing company in Virginia after 35 years of faithful service. Roy was President of Richmond, VA Club of the Deaf and Treasurer for many years for Richmond, VA Division of 83 under former National Fraternal Society for Deaf. He was President of Capital Deaf of Senior in Raleigh and treasurer for Deaf Senior of NC.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Ann Young Yokeley and brother, Garlie Yokeley, wife Lynn.
He is preceded in death by wife Mary, brothers, Billy and Robert Yokeley.
