Ruby Marine Bledsoe Watkins, 95, died Saturday. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. She enjoyed being with her family, sewing and planting flowers. Ruby was a member of Caraleigh Baptist Church and loved serving her Lord. She always had a smile on her face and blew kisses to everyone she knew.
Surviving are her husband of 75 years, Seaton G. Watkins; daughters, Amanda Pollard (James) and Linda Bumgarner (James) all of Garner; grandsons, Jefferson G. Bumgarner, Jonathan L. Beecham and Jordan A. Beecham; great-grandson, Justin E. Bumgarner.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm Tuesday prior to the chapel service.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at the Laurel of Forest Glen in Garner for the excellent care given to Mrs. Watkins for the last 4 years.
