Ruth L. Gower, 85 of Raleigh, passed away, Wednesday evening, March 18, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Johnston Co., NC, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Myrtie Lee.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bill; sons Jerry Gower and Craig (Beth) Gower; daughter Allison (Tony) Rhodes; grandchildren Brittney, Brett, and Bobby; and four great-grandchildren as well as her faithful companion and loving dog Patch.

Ruth was an avid gardener who loved flowers. She worked as an assistant manager at Meredith College for 35 years.

Flowers are welcome or donations can be made in memory of Ruth to St. Jude Children's Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home prior to the service.
