Obituary of Ruth Horne

Ruth Lee Horne, 84, of Raleigh, NC, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at her home.

Born December 23, 1928, in Johnston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late W. Malcom Lee and Callie Byrd Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Horne; her three children, Susan Horne Colson, James Cecil Horne, and Michael Lee Horne; and her granddaughter, Meka Horne.

Ruth worked more than forty years as a Title Clerk for Capital Auto Auction.

Ruth is survived by several grandsons, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was much loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Ruth's son Michael to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
