Obituary of Ruth Tucker

Ruth Elizabeth Bates Tucker, 88, passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Wake Med Cary Hospital. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and wife and a joy to all who knew her. She was married for 67 years to the love of her life, Ralph Tucker who preceded her in death in September of this year. She was a kind and loving person and leaves a big void in our hearts and lives.

Surviving are her daughter, Loretta T. Mundy and husband, Randy of Charlotte; sons, Michael A. Tucker and wife, Janice of Raleigh and Ronnie S. Tucker of Benson; sister, Ruby Watson of Toast, NC; grandchildren, Kimberly Gonzalez, Angela Tucker, Benjamin Tucker and Suzanne Radford.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday at Montlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-3 pm Sunday prior to the service.

The family would like to thank all of their friends and neighbors for the help and support given to Mrs. Tucker especially during her declining health.
