It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra "Sandy" O'Brian, beloved wife, friend, and kind-hearted soul, age 65, who left us unexpectedly Saturday June 7th, 2025. Sandy was a vibrant spirit—full of laughter, warmth, and a joy for life that touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sandy was born May 17, 1960, in Goldsboro NC. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Daniel Woodard and Mary Howell Woodard. She is survived by her husband, Mike; brother, Danny Woodard and his wife Becky; her aunt, Patricia Pelt; niece, Jessica Adams and her husband Matt and nephew, Maxwell Woodard.

Sandy was a graduate of Goldsboro High School and Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh. Sandy was a store manager at Marshalls for more than 35 years, retiring in October 2024. Her guidance, people skills and compassionate leadership left a meaningful and enduring impact on her team and co-workers.

She had a gift for making every moment memorable and loved having a good time with friends and family. She radiated happiness and made others feel welcome with a beautiful smile. A true animal lover, Sandy couldn't walk past a dog without stopping to ask if she could say hello—her
kindness extended to all creatures, big and small.

Above all, Sandy cherished time with her family and friends. She believed in celebrating life with lots of laughter and making memories. Her presence brought light into every room and love into every heart.

Sandy will be missed more than words can express. Her kindness, compassion, and zest for life will live on in the memories of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home Tuesday June 17, 2025. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00. Services to follow.
