Obituary of Sandra Owen
Sandra Bauer Owen, born February 1947, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 1, 2012. She taught two years in public school in New Jersey and then worked twenty years at Lighthouse Christian Academy in Manahawkin, NJ. Over the years, she served in a variety of ways at churches she attended. Sandy was a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Cary.
She is survived by her husband Jack Owen of Apex; daughters, Dawn Titafi and husband Krim of Springfield, VA and Jennifer Castleman and husband Doug of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Olivia and Haylee Castleman; sister, Cheryl Koch of Haymarket, VA.
A funeral service will be held 6:30 pm Saturday at Colonial Baptist Church. A private burial will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd's Theological Seminary, 6051 Tryon Road, Cary, NC 27518, Harvey Cedars Bible Conference, 12 Cedars Aveune, Harvey Cedars, NJ 08008, Lighthouse Christian Academy, 400 Beach Avenue, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 or America's Keswick, 601 Route 530, Whiting, NJ 08759-3599.
