Obituary of Serena Lavin

Serena Anderson Lavin, 87, went to her Lord on April 18, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Serena was born to Hildegarde and Lennart Anderson in Kenora,Ontario, Canada.

Serena is survived by husband, Robert; son, David (Carol); daughter, Patricia (Michael); 5 grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Neil and Gerald and a sister, Barbara.

Serena was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted time to her church and charitable activities in addition to working as a

registered nurse. She loved entertaining her family and friends and going to the beach.

A memorial service will be at the Kirk of Kildaire in Cary on Saturday April 26th at 11:00 am.

Thanks to her many caregivers who provided loving care to her for such a long time.
