Obituary of Sharon Silver

Sharon Long Silver, 58, of Garner, NC passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born July 21, 1956 in Mobile, AL to Audrey Taylor Long and Lester C. "Leck" Long, Jr. She grew up in Rockingham, NC.

Sharon graduated from Richmond Senior High School and Sandhills Community College. She will be remembered by her family and many friends as a kind and gentle spirit with a sweetness that never faded. Those who loved her are many and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her father and step-father, Alford M. "Monty" White. Sharon is survived by her husband Daryl of the home; her loving daughters Kelly Silver of Greensboro, NC, Kathryn Silver of Garner, NC; her mother Audrey White of Rockingham, NC; sister, Beverly Logan (Bob) of Pinehurst, NC; brother Lester C. "Sonny" Long, III (Vickey) of Oxford, NC; and special nieces and nephews whom she adored.

A Celebration of Sharon's Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 1:00 prior to the service.
