Obituary of Sharon Vaughan

Sheri Vaughan of Garner, died on September 26, 2012 at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by 4 siblings: Nancy Pietsch, her compassionate caregiver, Kitty Jones Norcross (husband Bob), Freddie Jones (wife Sue) and Gary Jones (wife Nancy). 4 nieces: Mitzie Kennedy (husband Mike), Rhonda Perdue (husband Jamie), Jessica and Melinda Jones. 1 nephew: Steve Jones (wife Vickie). 4 great nephews: Billy and Michael Rausch, John Jones, and Owen Perdue. 1 great niece: Sarah Jones. Aunt and Uncle: Bill & Maxine Sutherland, their sons Jeff, David and their families and former brother-in-law, Marshall Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Vaughan, her beloved niece Julie Jones Rausch, her parents-Jack and Mitzie Jones, her grandparents- Maud and Fred Sutherland and John and Catherine Jones, aunt and uncle Martha and Bill Conway and uncle Frederick Sutherland.

Sheri was previously employed by IBM for almost 25 years and had recently worked for Girl Scouts of NC. The family will be holding a private Memorial Service to spread her cremated remains in Pearisburg, VA, where she grew up.
