Spencer Patrick Carroll, 21 years young, departed this life on Saturday, March 31, 2018. Spencer was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on November 7, 1996 to parents Walter and Elizabeth Carroll. He left his mark on this world, but he wasn't finished. So many things were left unsaid.

Spencer was preceded in death by his father, Walter Carroll, Jr.; grandfathers Walter Carroll, Sr. and Harbard Johnson. He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth; his sisters Lauren (Thomas) Bell and Allyson Truelove (Adam Kirkland); his nephew Braxton and niece Westyn; and grandmothers Connie Carroll and Colene Johnson, all whom he adored. He also leaves to mourn aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

The visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m at Montlawn Funeral Home and Cremations, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603 and a memorial service will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, Spencer's family requests you make memorial donations to a non-profit organization, Stepping Stone Manor in his honor. The mission of Stepping Stone Manor is to assist individuals with mapping a road to long-term recovery. The significant and noble work taking place at Stepping Stone Manor can continue to benefit those in need of their service through private grants and contributions from community groups and individuals.
