Stephanie A. Carrington Lyon (affectionately known as "Dosie") was born on November 5th, 1970 to the late Barbara Jean Carrington. Dosie was called to rest on September 30th, 2023 after a long illness.

She was educated in the wake county public school system and was employed with Wyndham hotel and resorts until she was no longer able to work. Dosie was really into fashion, music, and fast cars, in fact if a car pulled up beside her she thought they were trying to race her. Dosie was always the life of the party and people would just gravitate towards her. Dosie had a subtle side to her that entailed braiding hair, arts and crafts, cooking as well as spending time at the beach with family and friends.

In addition to her mother, Dosie was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Carrington, grandparents; Ezekiel and Mary B. Carrington, paternal grandparents; Tommie and Dossie Smith, her aunt's; Essie Gulley and Jeanette Short, one uncle; Cleveland. Paternal aunt's; Arzie
Blue, Annie Dunn and a paternal uncle; Ernest Smith.

Dosie leaves to cherish, her daughter, Yasmine Ronika Lyon and her niece that was like a daughter to her, Channing Carrington, her sister's Shannon Carrington and Candis Signal, special cousin/sister Annette Carrington, nieces Tilisa Jackson(Job) and Arianna Carrington, nephews; Paul Jr and Johnathan Carrington. Her aunt's and uncles; Susan (Joseph) Robinson, Mary Davis, Wendy( Art) Carrington, Theresa (Rev. Phillip) Betts, Eugene (Mary) Spence, Rex (Christina) Carrington, James Carrington and deacon Rufus Short. Paternal aunt's and uncles; Viola, Bonnie and Daisy, Jackie and Tommie Jr. and a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins. as well as longtime companion, Kerion Barton.
