Obituary of Stephen Gooding

Stephen Andrew Gooding, 46, died suddenly on Saturday, October 19, 2013. Steve was a lover of anything motorized including riding motorcycles and engaging with NSX owners and lovers. He was a registered Girl Scout and an avid hockey fan. He particularly liked watching his children play sports and pursuing their dreams.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Terence Edward Gooding and is survived by his wife, Petra Schoeppler Gooding; his children, Trisha Eileen Gooding Wilson and husband, Douglas, Brooke Angelica Gooding, Ashley Erica Gooding and Darin Alec Orme Gooding; mother, Carol Eileen Collinge Gooding; siblings, Natalie Gooding and Nicole Gooding; nephew, Cameron James Atkins Gooding.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home. Immediately following the service, the family will host a celebration of life event at the Swift Creek Community Center, 6221 Yates Mill Pond Road, Raleigh, NC 27606.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Steve to the College Trust Fund for the childrens' futures at the State Employees Credit Union. Please make checks payable to Petra S. Gooding.
