Stephen A. Stallings, 86, of Zebulon, NC, passed away peacefully on June 3,
2025.

Born in rural Zebulon, Wake County, on October 29, 1938, Stephen was the
son of the late John Cleveland "J.C." Stallings and Mildred Clark Stallings.
After spending several childhood years in Towson, Maryland, Stephen
returned to Zebulon, where he attended Wakelon Schools and graduated
from Wakelon High School in 1957.

Following high school, Stephen proudly served in the United States Air Force
for four years. Upon completing his service, he returned to Zebulon and
began the next chapter of his life.

It was during this time he met the love of his life, Jewell Gardner, a student
nurse at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. They were married for 54 years and shared
a wonderful life together. Stephen and Jewell raised one son, Stephen R.
Stallings, and enjoyed many shared interests including gardening, traveling,
Duke ball games, and spending time with family. Stephen retired from Stock
Building Supply.

In October 2017, Stephen married Nancy Pulley where they lived in Marietta,
GA. Together, they shared many joyful and fulfilling years.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Nancy Pulley; his son, Stephen R. Stallings
(Gina); two grandsons, Jonathan Travis Stallings (Kelly) and Matthew Russell
Stallings (Jamie); and four great-grandchildren: Rylyn Brown, Jonathan Davis
Stallings, Solei Fullard, and Logan Pierce. He is also remembered fondly by
many nieces, cousins, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell Stallings, and his brothers,
Jack Stallings and Bobby Gene Stallings of Towson, Maryland.

A service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at
Montlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the
funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow.

Stephen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew
