Sue Woodlief Nowell, 86, of Raleigh passed away Monday morning February 17th, 2025 surrounded by Family. She was retired from Wake Co. Public Schools as a teacher's aide and bus driver. She was a lifelong member of Westover Methodist Church where she served faithfully.

Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many .She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas H. Nowell and daughter Brenda Nowell Clancy.

Sue is survived by her son, Rodney Nowell, brother Harry Carrol, grandchildren Kristin Nowell Vaughan, Preston Clancy, Ashton Clancy McBrayer and Kendall Nowell. Great grandchildren Abby, Faith, Aven and Kodie as well as many nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday February 26, 2025 at Montlawn Funeral  Home Chapel  2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 on Thursday February 27th, 2025, in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park following the service.
