Susan Karen Hardesty Partin, age 69, passed away on September 13, 2021.  Susan was born in Lafayette, Indiana on February 11, 1952 to Herman and Ruth Montgomery Hardesty.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ruth; her brothers, Bob and Nick Hardesty; and sister, Marilyn Hardesty McKenna (and husband Jim McKenna).

Susan was a gifted watercolor artist.  She enjoyed cross-stitching and crossword puzzles, but most all she loved being a mom and Nana to her grandchildren.

She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Phil Partin; son, Matthew Partin and wife Jessica; daughter, Jennifer Young and husband Brandon; brother, Roger Hardesty and wife Emma; brother, Terry Hardesty and wife Revonda, and sister, Pat Wilkinson.  She also leaves five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 20 at 11:00 am at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh.  A short service will follow in the chapel, with Pastor Donnie Darr officiating. Burial will be in Montlawn Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
