Terry Alan Shaw, age 89, departed from this life on February 5, 2026, at his daughters home in Garner, North Carolina surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Shaw; his parents, Macon and MaryLee Shaw; his brother, Douglas Shaw; and his nephew, Steven Shaw.

Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy is his daughter, Teresa Lynn Shaw and her husband Tom Guy of Garner, NC; his son, Macon Alan Shaw of Raleigh, NC; and his cherished grandchildren, Mitchell, Haley, Brenlee, and Macy Shaw, as well as his step-grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua, and Meredith Guy. His brother, Van Worth Shaw, also survives him, along with several nieces and nephews, including Sherry McDonald, Debbie Bradley, Van Shaw, Sandra Holden, and great-niece Madeleine Shaw. Terry also held in high regard his extended family, Bonnie and Stacy Batson, Madalyn Batson of Clayton, NC, and Julie Fleming of Cary, NC.

Terry honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a proud alumnus of Kings Business College, where he earned an Associate's degree in Accounting. His professional life was largely dedicated to Wilson-Finley Co, where he rendered 54 years of committed service.

An enthusiast of woodworking and fishing, Terry found solace in the simple pleasures of life. His dedication to his faith was evident through his active membership at Ephesus Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school for 5th and 6th-grade boys and served as a Deacon, among various other church responsibilities.

Terry Shaw was a man of deep Christian faith, whose life exemplified the virtues of kindness, charity, and devotion to family. His legacy as a caring father and grandfather will be treasured and upheld by all who knew him.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with the rendering of full military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Transitions Hospice Care 250 Hospice Cir, Raleigh, NC 27607.
