Thomas Edward Hallett III, 82, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on December 21, 2023. He was born on September 22, 1941. Thomas is survived by his brother Jack Hallett (Roxy), nephew J.W. Hallett (Lisa), and niece Michelle Hallett Ferebee (A.J).; as well as several great nieces, nephews, and 1st cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Virginia Hallett Jr. Thomas attended Northampton High School in Eastville, Virginia. He later earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina State University.

After an enlistment in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, Thomas dedicated 27 years to the Cumberland County Department of Social Services. He made a significant impact on the community through his work.

In his free time, Thomas was passionate about traveling the world and enjoyed attending performances by the North Carolina Symphony.

There will not be a public memorial service.

Anyone who knew Thomas could make a contribution in his memory to the North Carolina Symphony.
