Tucker Hayes Johnson passed peacefully into Jesus' arms on May 9, 2019. Tucker was the precious son of Chris and Brittney Johnson of Apex, North Carolina. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Rose Johnson. Tucker was part of a loving family which included his grandparents, Ricky and Mary Ann Martin, his Uncle Barrett Martin, Aunt Meredith Martin, and cousins Lucy, Laney, and Logan Martin. Tucker was also blessed to have great-grandparents Ed and Reba Hill and H.K. and Nette Martin, as well as other extended family members that all loved him unconditionally.
In his very short life, Tucker taught us to love one another to a depth unimaginable and to trust God's plans for all of our lives, even in the smallest detail. We look forward to holding him in Heaven when we all get there.
There will be a visitation on Friday, May 17, 2019, from 10-11 am at Montlawn Funeral Home in Raleigh. A graveside service for the family will follow afterwards. In lieu of flowers, our family asks that donations be made to Hands of Hope Pregnancy Center in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
I was a miracle as all babies are.
He made me as an image of Himself.
My feet were tiny, but I was made to run. My hands were formed so I could hold on tight. Your heart was mine, and they beat together.
My home was warm and safe.
All my needs you met.
Outside I hear laughter and lots of talking. Is that my sister?
I know my daddy's voice.
I feel your peace when he's around. Usually he is right outside my home. Will he teach me to be like him?
I hear your voice, but Another is calling. He says it's time to leave.
I'm excited but scared.
Am I ready for this?
I am a miracle as all babies are. My feet run on streets of gold.
My hands hold tight to the Master. My heart, I thought, was always yours. Now I know it was always His.
