Vera Mouser Rush

Mrs. Vera Mouser Rush, 73, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 1, 2009, at home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 4, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

A native of Johnston County, Vera was born September 27, 1935 to the late Emery Nicholas and Rena Ellis Mouser. She loved to go bowling, fishing and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children David Pearce and wife Janice, of Wake Forest, Jackie Johnson and husband Benny, of Garner, Deborah Buswell and husband Dennis, of Hannibal, MO, Debbie Rush Conner, of Louisburg; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; a sister Amzie Hamilton, of Garner; and a wonderful caring friend, Tereca Batts. Mrs. Rush was predeceased by her loving husband John Wesley Rush and a son Jerry Pearce.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Hospice, 1626 Jeurgens Court Norcross, GA 30093.
