Vinh Thu Tan , age 57, of Raleigh, NC, was called home to his Lord and Savior on December 7, 2025, following a sudden heart attack. Born on June 5, 1968, in Vietnam, to Nhim Tan and Anh Lu Tan. Vinh was a devoted husband to Maomei and a loving father to Leo, Jayden, and Michael. He is also survived by his mother, his older sister, Dinh Yau, and his younger sister, Minh Chen and is preceded in death by his father.

Vinh was a visionary and innovator, blessed with creativity and skill, which he used to bring his ideas to life. A graduate of NC State University with a double major in Computer and Electrical Engineering, he applied the talents God gave him to designing his restaurants, building new establishments, and renovating his homes. Over a remarkable 28-year career in the restaurant industry, he was admired and respected by his staff for his honesty, fairness, and generosity, leading with humility and grace.

Beyond his professional achievements, Vinh was a hardworking and faithful provider who lived with integrity, quiet strength, and unwavering love. His family was his greatest earthly blessing, and he served as their steady rock, offering guidance, support, and care. He had a kind and compassionate heart, a gentle sense of humor, and a generous spirit that reflected his faith. Creative and curious, he loved to travel and explore the beauty of God's world, always sharing those experiences with his family.

Vinh's life was a testimony of love, service, and faith. Though deeply missed, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Christ and take comfort knowing he now rests in the peace and presence of his Savior. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and in the example he set as a devoted husband, loving father, cherished uncle, and dear friend.

A gathering to celebrate Vinh's life will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603) on Saturday, December 20, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for viewing and sharing memories, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to the American Heart Association to support research and prevention.
