Virginia Marion Burnette Blackman, age 100,  formerly of Burgaw, North Carolina passed away March 3, 2025. Virginia was born on August 13, 1924 to the late Gurnie and Ella Marion in Surry County, NC. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister. William Marion, Alferd Marion, Wayne Marion and Iretha Bolton. Two husbands Claude Ervin Burnette and JP Blackman,  a son Dennis Ervin Burnette. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Burnette King, Phyllis Burnette Jenkins and daughter-in-law Betty Burnette, grandchildren Bert Jenkins III, Brigette Jenkins, Dave  Burnette (Barbie), Kim Burnette Citty (Ryke). Kelly Watson (Landon) and Jennifer McCann, Great Grandchildren; May Magyar, Lydia Magyar, Victoria Magyar, Rylan Citty, Cohen Burnette, Lawson Burnette and Noah Gentry.

Following the memorial service for Virginia, she will be placed to rest at Pineywood Church Gravesite beside her brothers and sister.
