Obituary of Virginia Whitaker

Virginia Marie Vaughan Whitaker, 75 yrs old of Raleigh, NC, passed away September 18, 2014.

After many years of fighting her battles with illness's, God saw her getting tired so HE came and wrapped his arms around her body and took her home.

Virginia is pre-deceased by her husband, Fred Whitaker and many family members. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Lloyd Denning of Newport, Susan Lloyd Hill of Clayton, Joni Lloyd Gower of Raleigh; grandchildren, Amanda Bell, Jennifer Hill, Tad Denning, Marty Gower; great grandchildren, Peyton, Lane and Ryan Bell; sister Frances V. Gilliam of Apex; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Donations may be made in memory of Virginia to Transitions LifeCare, Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
