Obituary of Wallace Williams

Wallace "Wally" Leon Williams, 80, of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday morning, December 5, 2012 at UniHealth Skilled Nursing Facility.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. A private inurnment at Montlawn Memorial Park will follow.

Born September 16, 1932 in Arcadia, FL, Wally was the son of the late Leon Lacey Williams and Hollie Stephens Williams. In 1955 he graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Westinghouse for 35 years, before retiring in 1990. Wally then moved to Pine Knoll Shores, NC, with his lovely wife Enice where he enjoyed golfing and fishing and he also volunteered at the Senior Center preparing taxes. Wally will be remembered as being a caring provider for his family and will be sorely missed.

Wally is survived by his loving wife of 59 wonderful years, Enice Williams of Raleigh and Pine Knoll Shores, NC; son, Lee Williams and wife Pat of Cary; daughter, Brenda Williams Wynne of Raleigh; grandchildren, Seth Williams, Rebekah Williams, and Nathan Wynne.

Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wallace to a charity of your choice.
