Walter passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018.
To his family and friends he was known as "Maurice".
Walter graduated from Enloe High School in 1980 and was employed 13 years at Doretha Dix Hospital.

Maurice was a very giving person, always willing to help family and friends. Up until his final days he was still concerned about his family members. He had such a great personality and he was always making people laugh. When you saw him, he always had a story to tell. He is loved by a large family and even larger extended family and will be truly missed.

Walter was born on January 18, 1962 to Mother Ella Mae Williams and the late Willie Evans. Brother of Gwendolyn McLamb-Veal, James Young, Joan McLamb, Wilhemenia McLamb, Randy McLamb, Linda Evans, Samuel Henderson, Timothy Evans, Elizabeth Williams, La Wanda Jones and the late Charles Henderson, He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel in Raleigh.
