Wayln Bruce Blackwood of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his home in Clarksville, Virginia at the age of 81. Wayln was born October 27, 1939 in Chatham County, NC. He spent his last years at the place he loved the most, his house on Kerr Lake, with his wife Virginia Blackwood. Wayln is survived by his sons David and Randall Blackwood, JR, Todd, Barry, and Danny Cottrell and daughter Paulet Miller. Wayln was also the proud papa to 13 grand children and 13 ½ great-grand children. Mr. Blackwood was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Gail Blackwood and son Steven Bruce Blackwood. A grave side service will be held August 31, 2021 at 2:00PM at Montlawn Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC.  As a past member of the Shriners he was a supporter of the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, NC.
