Weiying Gao Drake, age 61, of Apex, entered into the presence of her Savior on August 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born on November 27, 1963, in Jixi, Heilongjiang, China, Weiying was a beloved wife of 26 years to Daniel Drake, and devoted mother, sister, daughter and friend.  A woman of quiet faith and steady love, she reflected the light of Christ to all who knew her.  She was a faithful member of Covenant Reformed Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel; their two children, Kelsey and Lindsay; and her son Joshua Ma.  She is also survived by her sister, Gao Weihua; her brother, Gao Weize (and his wife, Jiang Shuhua); and many dear friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Gao Shuxian and Lu Guiying.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29, beginning at 12:00 noon. at Covenant Reformed Baptist Church, Pastor Doug Short officiating. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Weiying's life and the eternal hope she had in Christ.
