Wilburn Clyde Calton Jr. of Raleigh, NC passed away on March 29th, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents W.C. Calton Sr. and Mary H. Calton of Raleigh, NC. He is survived by his former spouse of 27 years, Betty D. Calton; children Wilburn C. Calton III, Matthew D. Calton, Ann C. Koonce, Donna E. Calton and David A. Calton (Michelle). Also survived by his siblings Renneth J.Calton, Phillip B. Calton (Geraldine) and Mary Fernandez Decastro. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
W.C. graduated from Admiral Farragut Academy in 1951 and Needham Broughton High School in 1953. He graduated from NC State University in 1957 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked for A.E. Finley & Associates and N.C. Equipment Co; he became a member of the NC Society of Engineers in 1961. W.C. was an active member of Midway Baptist Church. He served as a former deacon, member of the TLC Committee and was a part of the visitation and outreach programs.
Our Dad was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars. What he enjoyed most was spending time with family, watching his grandchildren and cheering them on at sporting events. We would like to thank his Midway family and the members of his

school class: Frank, James, Peanut and Jack for their devoted friendship over 40 years. We would also like to thank dear friends Lisa, Jenise and Michelle for all the love and care they gave our Dad. We are truly blessed to have had such a loving and caring Father. He will be in our hearts forever.
A visitation for friends and family will be held
Tuesday, April 3rd from 6 - 8pm
at Montlawn Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held
Wednesday, April 4th, 11:00 AM
at The Chapel of Memories, Montlawn Memorial Park with a burial immediately following the service for family.
