GARNER
William Clark Anderson Jr., 78, of Garner, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord and sing with the angels on Friday, November 27, 2020 while he was at his home. William was surrounded by his family and his special hospice nurse Cody.
William was the only child, born to William Clark Anderson, Sr. and Juanita Kendall Anderson on September 20, 1942 in Quincy, Ohio. He attended Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton, Ohio. He joined the Navy, where on a trip to a local amusement park, Ocean View in Norfolk, he would meet his future bride Becky Hendley. Together, they would have four children and build a home based on Christian values, the principle of hard work, and learning that it is better to give than receive.
William was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Christina Chance, and grandson Justin Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Becky Anderson; son Dale Anderson and wife Karen; daughter Susan Anderson; daughter Terry Chance and husband Stoney; daughter Donna Anderson; adopted children of love; Elipidio Guerra, Chuck Webb, Trena McCloud, Cheryl and Greg Bradford; Three grandsons; Joshua Anderson, Stoney Lee Chance and Christopher Anderson; adopted grandchildren of love; Paul, Mark and Sophia Guerra; Lucas Bradford; and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m. on December 3, 2020 at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, North Carolina.
William will be remembered for his love of God, love of his family, church family, gospel singing, his sense of humor, willingness to help others, love of karate movies and food … especially pizza!
