William Louis "Billy" Wright, 83, died peacefully at his residence and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, January 23, 2016.

He was born August 29, 1932 in South Mills, NC the son of Merrill P. Wright and Catherine Gray Wright. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother M. Paul Wright and his son, Todd Bullock.

Billy was raised in Raleigh where he graduated from Needham Broughton High School. He attended East Carolina University until being drafted in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired with over 30 years of service as a Nationwide Insurance Agent.

Billy Wright was a kind, generous and loving man. He enjoyed the beach and ocean and loved to fish. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and was an avid NC State fan for many years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Peggy Robinson Bullock Wright; sons, Troy Wright and wife Laura, Scott Bullock and wife Ann and Roger Bullock; three former daughter-in-laws, Lynn Bullock Cieri and husband Kit, Judy Bullock Dreighton and Lisa Bullock; ten grandchildren, Autumn, Kris, Garrett, Shanna, Amber, Elyse, Louis, Rutger, Brie and Harry; four great-grandsons, Kristian, Brixton, Kaiden and Lawson; special sister and brother-in-laws, Sallie and Jim Hendricks, Leetha and Jerry House and Pete and Casey Robinson; many loved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service and celebration of Billy's life will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00pm prior to the chapel service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Green Pines Baptist Church, 1498 Hodge Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
