Obituary of William Byrd

William David Byrd, 48, of Wake Forest, died Friday afternoon at WakeMed Hospital.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Montlawn Funeral Home.

A native of Lancaster, SC, David was the owner and operator of "Rapid Delivery". He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Alan Byrd.

David is survived by his son, Devan Michael Byrd of Raleigh; parents, Carol and Charles W. "Chuck" Byrd of Raleigh; his longtime girlfriend, Angie Boykin of Wake Forest and her two children, Andrew Boykin and Michaela Beaman; nephew, Darren Layne Byrd of Raleigh as well as two aunts and two uncles.
