Obituary of William Creech
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of the best father, husband, and granddaddy a family could ever have on Tuesday the 12th of April, 2011.
As a husband for 64 years, Pee Wee will be greatly missed by his wife, Yvonne Creech; son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Mozelle Creech; daughter and son-in-law Dianne and Doug Fish; grandchildren, Scott Creech, and twins, Madeleine and Caitlin Fish; great grandchildren, Kristine Righter and Carrie Barbour.
William Henry Jr. (Pee Wee) was the son of the late William Henry and Hester Thompson Creech of Smithfield. He is survived by his two sisters Marie Creech and Esther Mae Peedin.
Pee Wee began his life's work as a heavy truck mechanic at Power Brake Co. in Raleigh for 30 years. He then moved to the Wake County School Bus Garage where he worked as a school bus mechanic at Enloe High School for 20 years before retiring.
Pee Wee enjoyed fishing and spent many years before and 20 years after retirement fishing at Kerr Lake. He was happiest spending time with his family and friends at the lake. His greatest joy was playing with his twin granddaughters, Caitlin and Madeleine. They will miss him greatly.
Daddy, granddaddy, and husband (also known as Pee Wee) will always be remembered as the sweetest little man with the big blue eyes.
A funeral service in memory of Pee Wee will be held at 12 Noon Friday, April 15th 2011 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening.
