Obituary of William Dail

William "Ed" Dail, 88 of Raleigh, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2015 at Wellington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Knightdale.

Born October 21, 1926 in Snow Hill, NC, he was the son of the late William Haywood Dail and Nora Murphy Dail. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Marion Baker Dail; brother, Jimmy Lee Dail; sisters, Elizabeth Dail Brewer, Dorothy Dail Messer, and Martha Dail Morgan.

Ed is survived by his sister, Betty Dail Tucker; niece, Kim Wallace, her husband Ed and their son Zach of the home; additional niece, Diane Morgan Justin; nephews, Johnny Brewer and wife Patsy, Jimmy Wayne Dail, Lyn Tucker and wife Grace, Dale Tucker and wife Kathy, Haywood and Eddie Morgan.

After completing High School, Ed served in the United States Army. He worked in the Engineering Department at Rex Hospital for 34 years. Ed is finally at peace once again as he is reunited with his princess Marion, whom he adored.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m., at Montlawn Funeral Home, prior to the service.
