Obituary of William Draper
William Marriott Draper, 76, of Raleigh passed away Tuesday morning, August 6, 2013 at Hospice of Wake County.
Born December 22, 1936 in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of the late Harold Draper and Elizabeth McPherson. William was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was the owner of Vision Specialties for 40 years, a member of the Lion's Club, and Stagg Club.
William is survived by his sons, Mark Draper and fianc Nancy Leatherwood; Timothy Draper and wife Kim, Matthew Draper and wife Susan, Andrew Draper and wife Darlene; 11 grandchildren; brother, Ed Draper and wife Jo; sister, Melanie Redman and husband Joe; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3:30 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Montlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Black Mountain, NC at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of William to the Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or www.hospiceofwake.org/donate.
