William "Billy" Ellis Lassiter age 77 was born March 5, 1939. He passed away on Saturday February 4, 2017. William was an office supply and equipment salesman for 41 years, most of that time was with Raleigh Office Supply Company. He was a proud member of the US Marine Corps Reserve . He served his basic training at Parris Island, SC, and Camp Lejuene, NC. He served six additional years in the reserves. He was also a Mason and Shriner for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Annette Johnson Lassiter , two daughters Sharyn Lassiter Register and Amy Lassiter Lancaster, grandchildren Christina Register, Camp Lancaster and Koa Lancaster; sons-in law, Jesse Register and Kevin Lancaster; sisters Paula Lassiter and Janet Ridle; and Brother-in law Roger Duckett. He was predeceased by his parents Ellis Edward Lassiter and Elizabeth Orr Lassiter, sister Tricia Duckett. He was a wonderful husband, father and granddaddy to Christina and lovingly known as "Bucko" to Camp and Koa. A visitation will be held on Wednesday February 8, 2017 1pm at Montlawn Funeral Home followed by a 2pm service.
