William Herman Mills Sr. 71, of Clayton, NC passed away Feb 7 ^th , 2022 surrounded by family. Born May 13 ^th , 1950 to the late Herman McKinley Mills and Mamie Vinson Mills.

William enjoyed collecting old coins and loved to travel to Atlantic City and Cherokee, NC. He was a painter with Willis Lee Painting and Wall Paper Inc for over 30 years, he continued his career independently until retirement. William was a member of East Wake Church of God of Wendell, NC, he loved and cherished time spent with family, especially his babies.

In addition to his parents William was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Baker, Frances Crum, Faye Dent, niece Linda Baker and nephew Doug Baker.

Those left to cherish his memory… wife of 50 years; Martha Jones Mills & son, William (Willie) Herman Mills Jr.  of the home, daughter, Angela (Angie) Mills Dawson (Gregory) , grandchildren, Trevor Mills (Savannah), Nicholas Pulliam, Katlyn Mills (Daniel), and Natalie Dawson. Great Grandchildren Star'Ann Mills, Daniel Jr. Mills, Annalise Mills, Aiden Rae and 2 precious little ones on the way…. Sister Rose Brown (Joe), nephews Leon Baker, Ray Brown, and Brooks Dent.

Special friends; Charles Bryant, Mike Wallace, Johnny Stephenson, Tom Ray, and Bill Syler, and those he loved as his own were Austin, Megan, Laura, Jacqueline, Adalynn, Tiffany, Crystal, Patrick, Madison, and Lou Lou.
