Obituary of William Robinson

William Hilton Robinson, 61, of Raleigh, died Monday, August 6, 2012 at his home.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10 in the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Friday.

William was born December 11, 1950 in Mecklenburg County, the son of the late William Franklin Robinson and Sara Stokes Robinson. He worked at and managed The Magic Corner in Raleigh for many years and was a gifted magician who delighted in entertaining his family, friends but especially children since he himself, was a "kid at heart". He was a graphic artist by training and worked with The Graphic Press, PMW and Poole Printing Co.

William is survived by his wife of 40 years, Annie Barber Robinson; daughter, Angela Michelle Robinson; son, William Hilton "Wil" Robinson II, all of Raleigh; his brother, Richard Robinson of Charlotte, several nieces and nephews as well as many friends, all of whom will treasure his gift of laughter.
