William Hobart Sanford Jr. went to be with his best friend, his Savior, Jesus Christ on Palm Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 11:09 am. Bill (WH) was born in Chalybeate Springs, NC on April 14, 1943 to William Hobart Sanford Sr. and Macie Overby Sanford. He retired from the City of Raleigh after 31 years. Bill was a faithful, loving husband to Mary N. Sanford, his wife for 42 years. He loved the Lord and sought to serve Him by loving and serving others.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, William Todd Sanford, his parents, 1 brother, Buck, and 3 sisters, Dale, Janice and Judy. Bill is survived by his wife, Mary, sister, Billie, two granddaughters, Crystal and Alex, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill (WH) will be remembered dearly for his sincere faithfulness and love for his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel.
