Tommy Vick of Apex, passed away on April 15, 2020. Tommy was born on June 6, 1938 to the late Frank Leslie and Mary Lee Vick of Wilson County, NC.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maggie Mae of Apex, son Billy Vick (Debra) of Raleigh, and daughter Connie Eagloski (Ted) of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren Leslie Brown, Karson Vick, Kayla Patton (Ethan), Krista Vick, Adam Vick, Kelsey Bronander (Luke), Camden Eagloski; great-grandsons Ashton Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, and Fletcher Patton. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Vick; sisters Agnes Lamm (Wiley) and Helen Bissette (Geral) along with many nieces and nephews.

Tommy was the first college graduate from his family and graduated from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson. Tommy and Mae moved from Wilson County to Wake County in 1960. Even though they were from Wilson County, they called Wake County home. Tommy worked with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture as an Analytical Chemist for 31 years.

Due to public health concerns we are offering a vehicle visitation at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603, starting at 2:00 p.m.  on Friday, April 17, 2020. You can drive up in your car and greet the family from within your vehicle. This will allow friends and family the opportunity to express their condolences and allow the family to see guests safely and within the CDC guidelines.

The family and friends will gather immediately following the visitation for an outdoor Graveside Service at 3:00 p.m.. Again, the service will adhere to public health guidelines.

Please note the family will hold a traditional Memorial Service in the near future.

Tommy was a long time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Fuquay-Varina. He then became one of the founders, and charter members, of Fairview Baptist Church, Apex. Tommy was a member of the Raleigh Optimist Club as well as an active member of the McCuller's Ruritan Club and enjoyed helping with their semi-annual BBQ events.
