William D. Watson

William Dalton Watson, 58, of Raleigh, died Monday evening, February 2, 2009.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Friday.

A native of Raleigh, William was a mail carrier with the United States Post Office. He served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam war and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat.

William is survived by his daughters, Jennifer McDonald of Colorado, Lori Marshall of Wake Forest, Heather Watson of the home, Robyn Privette of Franklinton; grandson, Brandon M. Watson of the home; brothers, Jeff, Joel, and Rick Watson; sister, Jean Brazall as well as six other grandchildren.
