Woody Carter, 70, of Raleigh North Carolina, passed away on July 12th. Woody was born on June 27th, 1953 to Margaret and Woodrow Carter in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Woody graduated from Rosewood High School in 1971. He was a Tar Heel basketball fan and loved golfing. He was a member of the Rawhide Fishing Team. Woody is predeceased by his mother Margaret, father Woodrow, and daughter Deana Carter.

Woody is survived by his fiancé Vicki Greene of Troy North Carolina, son Justin Carter of Raleigh NC, daughter Lindsay Carter of Portland OR, grandson Gavin Taylor of Raleigh NC, granddaughter Sage Hatten and her husband Darion of Gallatin TN, great-grandchildren Kaiden, Averie, and Coen. Woody is also survived by his brothers Dwight Carter of Goldsboro North Carolina, Brian Carter of Berry Alabama, Kenneth Sullivan of Mt. Olive North Carolina, and his sister Judy Hales of Lagrange North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at Montlawn on Monday, July 17th at 4 pm.
