Woody James born on September 16, 1939 in Nash Co. passed away on February 5, 2022. A resident of salem-Terrace in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Son of Ruth Nowell, raised by grandparents Jim and Annie Brautley.  He graduated from Charles L Crow and later worked for Thurston Trucking Co.  He became a caretaker to several friends.  He loved music and loved to sing to anyone who would listen.  Survived by three aunts Jackie Tedder of Bailey, June Bass of Leland and Sandra Perry of Wilson; Half-Brother Bobby Nowell of Chapel Hill, Jim Nowell of Raleigh and Lee Nowell of Texas; Half-sister Ruth Ann Nowell of California.  Lots of nieces and nephews.  He was loved and will be missed by all who knewhim.
